The TV chef hailed figures revealing the number of pupils taking school dinners is rising - and which prove the hapless Tory disastrously wrong.
Jamie's vision has led to healthier school meals and he said the statistics were "massively encouraging".
He said: "Some people in government might look at the figures and think it's time to take the foot off the gas because it's a success story.
"That would be wrong. Now is the time to move up a gear. This is the time to invest in those schools who still have problems with training for dinner ladies or have a dining area that's too small or uninviting.
