Emma Watson the rock chick: Has Hermione found harmony with her latest guitarist guy?

On Wednesday night, Miss Watson, 20, enjoyed an evening at the theatre with the long-haired teenager.

The pair watched highly-acclaimed production War Horse at the New London in Covent Garden, Central London.

Earlier in the day, Mr Craig, 19, spoke publicly for the first time of his admiration for Miss Watson.

He described her as 'wonderful' and told how much he was looking forward to their evening together.

On his Twitter internet site, he wrote: 'Heading to London this afternoon, going to the theatre tonight with a wonderful lady.'

Miss Watson has been spotted out and about with a series of young men in the past few years, including a rugby player and a financier.

But she has shown a tendency towards rockers - including Razorlight's wild frontman Johnny Borrell and her fellow student at Brown University, Rafael Cebrian, who is the drummer in a band.

Miss Watson and Mr Craig - who is the frontman of up-and-coming rock band One Night Only - first met when they appeared together in the latest campaign for fashion house Burberry.

The pair were brought together by the label's creative director Christopher Bailey, who is a friend of Miss Watson's and an admirer of Mr Craig's music. Since then, they have become increasingly close.

Miss Watson even appears alongside Mr Craig in the video for his band's latest single Say You Don't Want It, which is due to be released in August.

One Night Only have so far had limited commercial success, although they have become darlings of the alternative music scene.

Their only album Started A Fire made it to No 10 in the Indie charts in

2008. The band's most successful single, Just For Tonight, hit No 9. They are due to release their new album later this year.
Miss Watson has just completed her first year at Brown, in Providence, Rhode Island, in the U.S., where she is studying European history, drama and women's studies.

She shunned a university place at Trinity College, Cambridge, to go to the U.S. because it was too 'high profile' and she preferred to study out of the media spotlight. Last night Mr Craig's brother James insisted that the musician and Miss Watson weren't in a serious relationship.
When asked about the pair, he simply replied: 'They're just good friends, mate.'

James was speaking outside the flat owned by his parents

Richard and Louise in the picturesque market town of Helmsley, North Yorkshire. It is thought the family also owns a large semi-detached property on a new-build estate a quarter of a mile away.
